Panel layout and parts list

Fill a roof with panels, check the sizing, and let your rules build the parts list, so nothing is missed.

What you get

The quote starts from the roof, not from a guess. Panels, mounting structures and every cable, distribution box and earthing item land on the quote from rules you set once, so two reps quoting the same site get the same parts list.

How it works

  • Panel layout. Enter the roof length and width, slope, setbacks and obstacles, and pick the panel and structure type. AIMS fills the usable area, groups the panels into mounting tables and draws a top view. A site can have several layout options, each saved as a draft or final version.
  • Layout to quote in one step. Adding a layout to a quote brings in the panels and the structure lines (mounting kits, rails, rafters, purlins and pillars, with wastage).
  • Structure types you define. Roof, floor, ground and sheet-roof mounts, each with its own tilt, gaps, setbacks and material rules.
  • Parts list by rule. Component rules add distribution boxes, AC and DC cable, connectors, earthing, cable tray, civil works, manpower and documents by system size, panel count or layout. Required items cannot be dropped without permission and a reason, and every line shows whether it came from a rule or was added by hand.
  • Sizing limits. Each system type (on-grid, hybrid, off-grid, micro-inverter, or your own) has a DC-to-AC limit. A quote over the limit is stopped unless someone with permission saves it with a reason, and that is recorded.
  • String design check. Panels per string are checked against the inverter’s voltage window and shown on the quote and the sales order.

Layouts and quotes can be built on the phone at the site.
