What you get
A rep goes from a site visit to a priced, approved solar quote without a spreadsheet. Every quote uses your current prices and your rules, and the documents the customer has to sign are filled in from the same quote, so nothing is typed twice.
How it works
- Start from the opportunity. A solar opportunity opens a quotation with the customer, phone and subject already filled in. Calls, visits and tasks can be scheduled from the quote.
- Lines from your own master. Panels, inverters, structures, balance-of-system items, services and documents come from your solar master, with brands, units, warranty and quote wording you set. Panel and inverter technical values sit on the item.
- Pricing you control. Line prices and discounts, a markup percentage, a closing discount and round-off. “As required” lines can be quoted at nil and settled at installation.
- Prices kept current. Panel cost changes are kept as price history, and one action refreshes an older quote to today’s prices as a new version.
- Subsidy by slab. Central and state subsidy amounts are picked from the scheme’s capacity slabs and shown on the quote as the amount the customer can claim. Schemes, slabs and amounts are configured for each business and can be changed by hand on a quote.
- Tax for solar. The quote shows the tax breakdown used for solar in India today (part of the value at 5% GST and part at 18%).
- Approvals before it goes out. Discounts or margins below your limit send the quote for approval. Items that need sign-off can be routed to a scope approver, and a manager controls whether the PDF can be downloaded.
- Versions and history. Every saved change is a version. Any version can be converted, a quote can be duplicated as a new draft, and every action is logged.
- The quote and the paperwork. The quote PDF uses your own template and terms, and can be emailed from AIMS. Customer documents such as net-metering forms, vendor agreements and equipment serial lists are filled from Word templates you upload, and customer files (electricity bill, ID, site photos) are kept with the quote.
- On the phone. Reps can create, price, send and convert quotes from the mobile app.
When the customer agrees, the quote becomes a sales order. See site verification and installation.
